De Helleborus is a gentle gem on the outskirts of Groningen, located in the village of Engelbert. As an eco-hostel and permaculture centre, we are passionate about sustainability, green living and a connection with nature. Our food forest bursts with different colours, changing with the seasons, while cats and chickens roam freely among the trees. In winter, we offer beds in our shared dorm room inside the house, while in summer you can stay in a ready made tent, caravan or yurt, peacefully nestled in the forest! We have a few lovely spaces to sit by a campfire and play your guitar, as well as a wood fired hot tub, bicycle rentals and a beautiful outside kitchen in the forest.

Cancellation policy: 3 days before arrival.

Check in from 15:00 to 21:00 .
Check out from 07:00 to 12:00 .

Payment upon arrival by credit cards, debit cards or cash.

Taxes not included - occupancy tax 2 EUR per person per stay.

Bicycle retals- €7,50 per day

Bedding fee- once off fee of € 5,- for a fully made bed.

Breakfast is € 15 and is not included.
Daily Meal is € 17,50 and is not included.
